CJ Foods announced that it has launched Food AI 360, an internal AI platform that supports the entire process – from product ideation to marketing – through real-time trend analysis.

Food AI 360 is an AI-powered marketing intelligence solution that integrates and advances conventional workflows, including trend spotting, concept development and evaluation, and consumer response monitoring, into a single platform. Rather than merely following trends that have already emerged, this platform analyzes shifts in consumer interest and their direction in real time to proactively predict and identify emerging trends, and rapidly translate them into tangible product ideas.

CJ Foods first introduced Food AI 360 to its Korea headquarters operations in 2025. The company then selected the United States as the second market for implementation and completed the rollout there at the end of June this year. This enables the company to analyze the U.S. food market and consumer interest in real time, gain a more precise understanding of local food industry trends, and swiftly apply those insights in product planning and marketing.

In particular, Food AI 360 offers a feature called Concept Studio, which translates predicted trends into specific product ideas and visualizes proposed product directions, key features, and packaging formats. Concept Studio also uses AI-based product evaluation to simulate consumer responses to products, helping teams review potential strengths and areas for improvement in advance. This enhances efficiency in product planning and decision-making.

CJ Foods has already been launching products developed using Food AI 360. An example is Matcha Hetbahn, which was recently launched in Korea. Through Food AI 360 analysis, CJ confirmed the continued momentum of the matcha trend, which has persisted since last year. Amid the growing health and wellness trend, the company also identified consumer demand for products that offer both healthy ingredients and convenience, and incorporated these insights into the product concept.

bibigo Salmon Steak, which surpassed 1.4 million units in sales within six months of its launch in Korea, is another product developed using Food AI 360. CJ Foods identified a shift in consumer demand within the protein category toward white meat and seafood proteins, as well as growing consumer interest in salmon, and reflected these insights in the product planning stage.

Insights generated through AI are being used not only for product development but also to expand brand experiences. CJ Foods has recently extended its well-known brands – including bibigo, Hetbahn, and Dasida – into entirely new product categories, such as snacks and beverages, allowing consumers to enjoy familiar brands in new ways.

Following the U.S. rollout, CJ plans to introduce Food AI 360 in other key regions, including Japan and Europe, to expand its AI-based marketing intelligence system.

“Food AI 360 is a platform that integrates the entire process – from trend identification and consumer evaluation to commercialization – through AI, helping to accelerate product development while increasing the likelihood of market success, said a CJ Foods official. “Going forward, we will continue to quickly turn consumer needs into differentiated products and further accelerate the growth of K-food in global markets.”
